Steps taken to stop child trafficking from Vietnam to China

Human trafficking, especially child trafficking, is very common in Vietnam. These children are then sold into slavery in China. Not much is known about the children who are kidnapped or the people who enslave them. For these reasons, there isn't a simple way to stop it.

However, the Vietnamese and Chinese governments have taken measures to try to stop the trafficking. In 2000, Chinese and Vietnamese officials met in Hanoi to discuss different strategies to stop the trafficking. The meeting was followed up by a field assessment and a joint survey later that year. Border guards and and women's union representatives in the affected provinces have been trained to help the trafficked children. Shelters have also been set up to help prevent children prostitution. UNICEF has helped set up these shelters. It is a step, but it is a long way from solving child trafficking from Vietnam to China.

  1. Before I wrote about this i had no idea what was going on, when i was first writing it I thought it was horrible. Now that I know some people are trying to help it puts my faith back into China. Even though not much is being done at least some people are trying.

  2. I like how you talk about why the trafficking is bad and how you posted a picture with it to observe the difficulties of what is happening in China today. For example, you can talk more about the children in slavery, about how Workers participating in a government-sponsored program to transfer rural labor to jobs in the interior of China, including children, were allegedly coerced into the program through threats or fines for noncompliance, but others participating in the same program said they had not been forced. Otherwise, nice content with the post.

  3. It was good that you are bringing up this topic as most people would be avoiding it and its a real topic that is happening daily which no one likes to talk about yet it is impossible to ignore especially because of its severity as kids are the most important thing in the world because of how they decide our futures and how they are the future of the world and we need to save them and how they are being trafficked through Vietnam to china.
